Benton est traumatisé par son erreur. Heureusement, le bébé se rétablit et Benton essaie de retrouver sa dignité de médecin en tentant de sauver un jeune patient blessé par balles. Carter sauve un homme, handicapé mental, qui a échappé à Dale avant une opération. Il constate que le patient n'est pas apte à donner son consentement.
