Le capitaine Jim Brass et le détective Sofia Curtis sont hantés par la mort d'un jeune officier de police durant une fusillade. Grissom et son équipe poursuivent leur enquête, qui s'oriente bientôt vers une affaire de trafic de drogue. Quatre suspects seraient, en effet, intervenus pour protéger le convoi.
